Patent Assistance Worldwide on Famous Patents
All inventions need patents in order to protect the inventors’ rights. These patent rights include the restriction on others to make, use, or sell the patented invention. The United States Patent and Trademark Office is the only government department that grants and issues patents to novel ideas. Some currently famous patents are the iPhone, iTouch and iPad. Another well known patent was the 1876 patent to Alexander Graham Bell for the telephone. Other famous patents were for the first computer, the light bulb, the television and the world famous Statue of Liberty.
Presently, one of the most sought after patented products is the always-evolving Apple iPhone. This invention of ingenuity made its debut in 2007 with prospective purchasers waiting anxiously for its sale. There were already many choices in cell phones at the time, but none like the one Apple was promising. The iPhone promoted music and video playing features, a wide touch screen and a fast internet connection. There are ample applications that can be downloaded on the phone to meet any specific purpose. This phone can be used for business or pleasure and for many it has become part of their being. Once it debuted, there were no disappointments in the sales for Apple. The successful sales of the original iPhone propelled the Apple engineers to continue enhancing and improving the original iPhone.
Another famous patent is the Statue of Liberty in New York. This symbol of freedom was patented back in 1879 with a design patent for the duration of fourteen years. Auguste Bartholdi, of Paris, applied for the patent to represent liberty and the independence of the United States. In July 1886, the Statue of Liberty was constructed from parts sent from France the previous year. The statue is a female figure standing 151 ft. 1 in. tall, holding a tablet that is inscribed with “4th of July, 1776.” The symbol that represents the enlightenment of the world is the torch that the statue is holding up with her right hand. The continents and oceans are represented on the crown with its seven spikes. The broken shackles on the female’s feet represent freedom from oppression. Lady Liberty represents many things to different people. This statue has greeted many immigrants looking for exile from the poverty of their homeland. It represents opportunity and hope for many arriving to America. Her tall, strong stance represents strength to any who lay their eyes on her. Today, anyone can visit and tour the Statue of Liberty to experience the intense emotion of what this symbol represents.
Patents act as an incentive to continue production of an invention or product. It sets the foundation of trust with the inventor. Every inventor needs some kind of patent assistance. There can eventually be other manufacturers who try to imitate the original, but the there will only be one original patent.
